Why I believe in God
I believe in a loving God who created the universe and strives to interact with His creation. My parents have very strong Christian beliefs and faiths and dragged me to church when I was younger. I have been Adventist from birth because of my parents and had been spoon fed the “Jesus loves you“ message ever since. Now I go to church because of my own decision. I believe in God not because of what I have been told. To me, a life with God is a lot better than a life with Him. Choosing to believe in a higher power that cares for you and wants to interact with you is much better than believing that the human race was accidental. I choose to believe in God because I believe in hope and everlasting life rather than inevitable death. I know in this world that bad things happen to people. People die and relationships end but there is only one constant in life to those who believe in God. I know that there is hope for the future that in the end God will restore the world as he first intended it to. When people die, I would much rather believe that I will see them in heaven rather than their remains will decompose and become part of the soil in some time. There is also a reason that many people have sacrificed their lives to spread the message that there is a God. God has the power to transform lives. He helps believers realize that they cannot control what happens to them because bad things will happen. The only thing they can control is their outlook on life. Even if God was not real or didn’t exist, I would much rather live a life believing in a lie and living with hope than live in the truth and live with mortal destiny.
